We do a deep dive into what has worked in your treatment, what hasn’t worked, and what pieces you might still need to learn. 

We use tools such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical behavior techniques, mindfulness, yoga therapy, and more to create a whole person, holistic plan for long term recovery and healing, without continuing to re-traumatize you! 

And most importantly, we build a relationship of connection and trust so that you can do this most sacred work in your own time.

What others have wondered about Trauma Therapy?

  • ITrauma isn’t just about big, obvious events like abuse or accidents. It can also be:

    • Growing up in an unpredictable or emotionally neglectful home

    • Experiencing rejection, bullying, or constant criticism

    • Feeling unsafe in relationships

    • Going through a major loss or life change

    • Long-term stress that left your body in survival mode

    If you struggle with anxiety, numbness, trouble relaxing, feeling stuck, or overwhelming emotions, trauma therapy might help.

  • Nope. Healing doesn’t require you to retell every painful moment. In fact, rehashing trauma over and over can sometimes make things worse. My approach focuses on helping your nervous system process and release stored trauma without forcing you to relive it.TWhile I will need some background to understand you and what you need, we will go at YOUR pace, and the beautiful thing about Integrative and Holistic work such as EMDR and Yoga Therapy, we don’t need all the details to clear it out! Of course sometimes sharing your story is a big part of healing, but we’ll figure out what’s best for you together.

  • Absolutely! I’ve done most of my work virtually and my clients have had GREAT results! While we can do traditional eye movements through following my fingers, I’ve found the direct feedback of tapping on the arms or the legs provided great Dual Attention Stimulation. And if none of that makes sense to you no worries at all! Feel free to reach out for more information.

  • That’s actually a very common trauma response. When we’ve been overwhelmed for too long, our nervous system sometimes shuts down to protect us. Trauma therapy can gently help you reconnect—at your own pace, without forcing anything before you’re ready.

  • Yes! Many of my clients have tried traditional talk therapy but still feel like something is missing. That’s because trauma often lives in the body, not just the mind. We work with both, so you can finally release what’s been weighing you down.

    And that’s also where an Integrative Intensive can come in to help shift your brain more deeply so you can feel relief faster.

  • That’s totally okay—we go at your speed. I teach you grounding tools to help you stay present and regulate emotions before we even start working on trauma processing. Even if you have a hard time “relaxing,” grounding or “meditating.” We’ll find the right tools for you. And you’ll always have control over the process.
